Lazar Rakočević is a rising international basketball prospect from Montenegro known for his size, versatility, and developing skill set in the frontcourt. Standing 210 cm (6’10”), Rakočević plays primarily as a power forward, bringing length, mobility, and physical presence to the paint.
Born in Podgorica, Montenegro, Lazar has developed through the competitive Montenegrin basketball system and currently competes within the SC Derby Podgorica youth development program, one of the country’s most respected pipelines for professional talent.
At the youth level, Rakočević has gained experience competing in multiple European development competitions including Montenegrin youth leagues and Junior ABA competitions with Studentski Centar / SC Derby Podgorica U19. These leagues are known for producing high-level professional prospects across the Adriatic basketball region.
His length, rebounding potential, and defensive instincts allow him to guard multiple positions while contributing energy on the boards and in transition. As he continues to mature physically, Lazar is viewed as a forward with long-term upside within the European basketball development pipeline.
Off the court, Lazar represents the new generation of international athletes building both competitive careers and global visibility.
